Guardians of the Galaxy

Everyone should be counting down to August 2014. Why? Guardians of the Galaxy of course. Nobody really know about The Guardians of the Galaxy. Just for those people who don't know their main purpose is to protect the Milky Way Galaxy from forces that threatens the security or liberty of its various people. In the movie they will have Drax the Destroyer, Groot (Who looks like a tree from middle earth.), Star-Lord, my personal favorite Rocket Raccoon, and Gamora. So lets take a look at each of them.

Drax the Destroyer

He is Arthur Sampson Douglas. A real estate agent. A quick brief history of him is he was driving through the Mojave Desert when Thanos (The thing in the post credit of the Avengers.) killed Arthur and his family. So how is he still alive? Well, Kronos got Arthur's astral form to make him become superhuman to battle Thanos. Drax won that battle. Then he was killed by psycho path Moondragon. Drax was then resurrected to battle Thanos who was also recently resurrected. Drax had some brain damage from his previous battle. He then became a member of Infinity Watch led by Adam Warlock. Which would eventually be evolved into the Guardians of the Galaxy.

Groot

     His appearance is a tree and everyone believed his race was extincted. Groot finally came to earth to find humans as his test subjects. (No one knows what for.) Anyways his mission took a wrong turn when Leslie Evans released termites that destroyed him. After all he is a tree and made out of wood. He was later destroyed again and then joined S.H.I.E.L.D and joined Nick Fury's Howling Commandos team. Then He got in a fight with the Hulk. But then he realized it wasn't really Groot. How did he do that? I will tell you once we go over the Guardians powers and other things. Groot then returned to space to help Star-Lord's group named  Annihiltion conquest. In a battle Groot got destroyed. But then Rocket Raccoon came in to save the day. He grabbed a branch that belonged to Groot and planted it. There fore Groot regrew. One of his powers is to regrow limbs. He then later joined Guardians of the Galaxy. 

I will give you part 2 tomorrow. I will give short histories of the other members and explain all their powers.

Topic of the Day

Why Ant-Man?

When I first heard of the November 6th 2015 release date for Edgar Wright's Ant-Man movie I said "What the heck is Marvel thinking about this idea." I was asking myself why don't they do a Black Panther movie or a Hulk movie. Those would obviously be more appealing to the audience. And they would be more successful for Marvel I thought. But the more thought I put into this I was thanking for what a genius Marvel Studios is. When they released the test footage at comic-con you could hear mixed emotions. Some are great some are what the heck? But I'm very glad Marvel ended up giving the green light for Ant-Man. One thing I am very excited for is the introduction of 2 characters into the MCU. (Marvel Cinematic Universe.) Obviously Ant-Man And hopefully The Wasp. Nothing has been confirmed yet but there will most likely be The Wasp in the movie. And if they did a movie with only one main character like Black Panther or Hulk they would only introduce one character with Black Panther. Another reason why I think they chose Ant-Man is because he could make a great edition to the Avengers. For those of you who don't know Ant-Man was a original member of the Avengers. With the big hit of the Avengers Marvel is doing as much group movies as they can. They are even introducing a new group with The Guardians of the Galaxy.Which will lead into the Avengers 2. (I will explain more of the Guardians of the Galaxy tomorrow.) So my hope is that they will introduce Ant-Man into the Avengers 2 to get the audience more familiar with the character. So the big 2 reasons why I think Marvel has decided to Ant-Man is because......
1. It will most likely introduce 2 very important charactesr (Ant-Man and Wasp.)  into the MCU that will hopefully be introduced in the Avengers 2 and will be very important later on in Marvel's plans.
2. It will make a better group movie. If they didn't want to make another group movie they would most definitely have a Black Panther Movie. But with the success of the Avengers they want to make as many group movies and hopefully rack in the money.

The Fight of the Day

This is the part of my blog in which I choose 2 superheros and dissect their powers and weaknesses and decide who would most likely win in a fight. Today I will will do that with the Hulk and Thor. Lets take a look at Hulk first.
HULK
Powers
Everyone knows Hulk is a big green Gama Ray experiment gone wrong. When Bruce gets angry he turns into a big green indestructible thing. But he has some other amazing powers besides his ability to turn into the Hulk. When he grows his muscles along with him. So when he has big muscles in his legs it gives him the ability to jump far distances and to jump incredibly high. If you watch the cartoons you know how Hulk can slam his hands together to create a giant shock wave. This shock wave has been compared hurricanes and sonic booms. The Hulk is basically superhuman. So he can jump high and shows resistance to physical damage like gunfire.
THOR
Thor the god of Thunder. So just like Hulk he is superhuman. He can also show resistance to physical damage. Thor has something called Odinforce which allows him to tap into mystical and cosmic energy. But the main one of his power is his hammer. Most people don't know this but his hammer has a name. It is called Mjolnir. It is so powerful it dented Captain America's indestructible sheild.
The Battle
I fell like I don't need to go over Hulk's and Thor's weaknesses cause they are pretty much the same. If I were to bid on this fight I would choose Thor. Remember sized does not always matter. I would pick Thor because he is practically a god and he holds one of the most powerful items, if not the most powerful item in the comic universe. Mjolnir or his hammer. If you hold the item that can dent Captain America's shield you piratically win any fight. Hulk's main advantage is his superhuman abilities. And Thor is superhuman. So this is how I imagine this fight to happen. Thor comes into the room with the Hulk. Hulk slams his hands together to create a shock wave to send Thor flying into another room. So I would think Thor would spend the rest of the fight flying to make sure this does not happen again. So with Thor's flying and ability to move very quickly it would be very hard for Hulk to throw stuff at him. So that is why Hulk will start jumping to tackle Thor. So Hulk will jump into the air grab Thor and throw him into the ground to create a crater. By know Thor is practically dead. Or he is just knocked out. So Hulk walks away acting like he was one the battle. But Thor pops back up again and throws Mjolnir right at Hulk's head to knock him out. This would only mike Hulk lay on the ground for only a millisecond. So Thor summons lightning and shocks Hulk to make him stay down even longer. Then Thor puts his hammer on the Hulk to make Hulk not be able to move. So then Thor would be able to beat the crap out of Hulk with his strength . So therefore he will turn back into Bruce Banner and that means the Hulk is no longer there so he quit and Thor would win.

Topic of the Day

The Iron Man 3 Trailer

I know this is a little late to do a review of this trailer. But if you have not seen it stop what your doing go to this link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5EjG-1U3wqA and then come back to this blog to see what my worries, hopes, and the tings that I love about this trailer. Before I get to those 3 things let me just say I LOVED this trailer.

My Worries about the trailer

1. The Iron Patriot. In case you didn't know they guy in the red, whit, and blue Iron Man suit is the Iron Patriot. And before you get confused they guy in the suit is not Tony Stark. It is Norman Osborne. I am worried about this because Norman Osborne is a Spider-Man villain. And all the Spider-Man rights don't belong to Marvel Studios. So who are they going to put in the suit? That is a very important question to ask. 

2. Pepper Pots will die. In a interview with Gwyneth Paltrow said she was getting to old to play this part. And with the mansion getting blown up into pieces she will most likely die. And hopefully have a Empire Strikes Back type ending.

3.  Again the Iron Patriot. I'm sick of Tony battling people in Iron Man type suits. So I hope he is not in it a lot and Mandarin is the main villain in the movie. 

My Hopes about Iron Man 3

1. I hope this will be a good movie. There has been so many awesome trailers fallowed by terrible movies. Like the Phantom Menace. But I fell like this will be a awesome trailer fallowed by a awesome movie.

2. They will make a clear storyline about who is inside the Iron Patriot suit. I am just curious to see who they decide to put in the suit. But please Marvel. Make it clear and not stupid.

What I loved about it

1. The Iron Patriot. I know I have said how much I disliked the idea of the Iron Patriot. But the suit looks dope.

2.  The voice overs. Tony Stark does voice overs through out the trailer describing the event that happen in New York. (The Avengers) He says "Ever since New York I have changed." I just want to see what he means by that. I am going to the midnight showing for sure.

3. It set it up for a Empire Strikes Back type ending. Hopefully they will sign on for a Iron Man 4. And for which you didn't know each actor signed up for 3 Avengers movies and 3 single movies. So hopefully they make a Iron Man 4
